FIFA President Infantino Hit With Criminal Complaint From Michel Platini

Days before the World Cup opener, FIFA president Gianni Infantino has been named in a criminal complaint filed in Paris by former UEFA chief Michel Platini. The complaint alleges Infantino and two former FIFA officials worked to block Platini's 2016 bid for the FIFA presidency. Platini, who was cleared by Swiss courts over a disputed payment, is also pursuing civil damages against FIFA, claiming a deliberate plot to exclude him. FIFA has been contacted for comment.
