Liverpool have made a formal approach to RB Leipzig to signal their interest in 19-year-old Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande, who is also a target for PSG and Bayern Munich. No official offer has been made yet, but the Reds consider him their top priority to fill the vacancy left by Mohamed Salah. Diomande had a stunning breakthrough season at Leipzig, scoring 13 goals and providing 9 assists in 36 matches to win the Bundesliga's Best Young Player award. Leipzig value him at around €100 million (£86.8m), with his contract running until 2030. PSG are reported to have held multiple meetings with Leipzig and Diomande appears open to moving to Paris, creating a fierce race for the teenager's signature. Liverpool are pushing to close a deal before the World Cup begins to avoid any further price inflation.
