Morocco secured a 1-0 Group C victory over Scotland at Boston Stadium on June 20, with Ismael Saibari netting after just 71 seconds — the fastest goal of the 2026 World Cup — assisted by Real Madrid's Brahim Diaz. The PSV Eindhoven forward, whose move to Bayern Munich for €55 million is essentially confirmed, also became only the second African player to score in each of his first two World Cup appearances, joining Mohamed Salah. Scotland had only a handful of meaningful chances and keeper Angus Gunn kept the deficit at one, but the result leaves the Tartan Army needing to beat Brazil in their final group game to advance. Morocco, now on four points, are on the verge of the knockout round.
